US-coalition air strikes kill senior IS commander in Hawija

Iraqi security source said on Tuesday that a senior leader of the Islamic State was killed by the international coalition which launched multiple air strikes west of the city of Kirkuk.

The source said: “The international alliance targeted a site in Hawija west of Kirkuk, sheltering a number of Islamic State militants, killing a Diwan calculation official “Abu Huzaifa al-Jubouri,” with two of his aides.”

He explained, “al-Jubouri is one of the most prominent leaders of Daash active in battlefronts in the Hamrin area and Alas and Ajil oil fields.”
