After rebellion in Fallujah squashed; city of Hit reportedly erupts

Quoting the website of the Euphrates News, Iraqi citizens living in the city of Hit of Anbar province are on the verge of an uprising against the Islamic State.

Local Sunni tribal rebels stormed the city, setting a number of cars on fire.

The statement said a number of Islamic terrorists, including two known as “Abu Tunisi and Abu Omar” were killed in the uprising with their bodies abandoned in the streets.

I am currently working to confirm this report and will add more later. Anbar is heating up. This summers developments should certainly be interesting.
